Complex notarization details →Common questions answered
Do I need an appointment for in-person notary?+
No. Walk in during store hours and we'll notarize on the spot. If you have a large signing (10+ pages), calling ahead helps us prepare.
What do I need to bring?+
A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID). The document must be unsigned. You sign in front of the notary.
Can you notarize documents from other states?+
Yes. Texas notaries can notarize any document regardless of where it will be used, as long as the signer is physically present (in person) or verified (RON).
Do you notarize Form I-9?+
No. Form I-9 Authorized Representative Service is a separate employment document service, not a notarization. No notary stamp is applied to Form I-9. Employers and remote employees can start the service request from our dedicated I-9 page.
What is the difference between notarization and apostille?+
Notarization verifies the signer's identity. An apostille authenticates the document for international use. You often need both for documents going abroad.
How long does an apostille take?+
Texas Secretary of State processing timing is determined by that office. Available coordination steps are confirmed after review.
